The board is appointed annually by the council and it manages the day-to-day operation, daily services and long-term safeguarding. The board is assisted by hired staff. The majority of the board and staff consist of regular students who manage their roles in conjunction with their studies or using a gap year to take care of common matters. The board convenes on average once a week. Lists of the decisions made by the board are posted on the student union notification board on the 2nd floor of the main building as well as on Office 365 Sites. The lists of decisions are made public once the minutes have been approved (usually in the next meeting). Board resolutions and statements are the official forms of operation. Resolutions aim to affect the many inadequacies in students’ everyday life. Statements are issued as part of certain preparation processes. Initiatives are made directly to the university leaders to improve issues. Both are imperative to the promotion the students’ position. The student union’s statements can be found here.
